While North Park owner David Cohen apparently wasn’t too keen on getting the news out, it nevertheless leaked today on the OC Weekly’s website: the Observatory crew was buying the North Park Theatre. Upcoming Observatory headliners like Curren$y, Juicy J, Leftover Crack, Neutral Milk Hotel, Cold War Kids, and Logic were also routed into North Park Theatre by Shuman. Then in December some of the headliners that passed through the Observatory were also booked at the North Park Theatre. Last year, Shuman, who books under Club Mercy moniker, moved into San Diego by promoting shows at UCSD’s Porter’s Pub.
